About Tigger 💜
Meet Tigger — a soulful terrier/beagle mix with a long, lean build and an even bigger heart. Tigger’s past wasn’t easy, but her spirit remains kind and open. She bonds deeply with her people and lives for affection. Potty trained and content with short bursts of play, she’s also a bit of an explorer — curious but loyal, always coming back to you. She’s tolerant with both dogs and cats when proper introductions are made, although she really shines as either an only pet or with one very laid-back furry friend. Tigger’s got a bossy, herding streak at times, much like a Heeler or Aussie, and can be protective over her humans. There’s no aggression—just a little nudging and nipping to manage the mood. Her ideal fit? A peaceful, adult home or one with older kids (12+) who get her need for calm and boundaries. Tigger recently started treatment for early heartworm. She’s on a monitored, slow-kill plan (including Vetmedin for added heart support) and needs her activity restricted during recovery. For safety and her habit of door-darting, a fenced yard is strongly preferred, but the right family without one may still be considered. Through it all, she’s patient and affectionate, ready for a caring home where she can settle in and finally—simply—belong. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
