About Athena
Athena arrived in New York, NY after being rescued—with her sister Sokolata—from the island of Paros, Greece. Both sisters grew up as strays, surviving together without their mother before they found safety with a rescue group. Athena is especially affectionate; she loves belly rubs, seeks out kisses, and delights in cuddling whenever she can. Her sister Sokolata is a little more independent but still enjoys head scratches and is always happy to see familiar faces, rubbing herself on things in greeting. The two enjoy playing with toys, watching birds and squirrels from the window, and generally keeping each other entertained. Athena and her sister are both gentle, playful, and well-mannered, making them ideal choices for someone seeking two low-key, loving companions. If you’re hoping for an easygoing pair who bring joy and warmth, these girls are ready to settle in and make themselves at home. Click apply to start the adoption process.
