About Journey
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Journey is a sassy, smart, and spirited Husky mix who’s still learning to trust the world around him. True to his breed, he’s vocal, opinionated, and can be a bit mouthy, but beneath his bold exterior is a sweet soul just waiting for the right person to help him feel safe and loved. Journey joined the rescue from a difficult hoarding situation, so he's still mastering positive interactions with people and hasn’t yet been tested with other dogs. A gradual introduction to new household members—both furry and human—will be essential for his success. He can be uneasy with sudden movements or loud environments, making a calm home with older children or adults only most ideal. Due to his talkative nature, he's best suited for a home without shared walls, such as a single-family house, and would be happiest with a fenced-in yard. Journey is exceptionally intelligent and treat-motivated, which makes training, once trust is established, a rewarding process. While it is not confirmed if he is house trained, he does keep his kennel tidy. You can meet Journey in one of our playrooms at AHeinz57 Pet Rescue & Transport, Inc., or submit an application for adoption. Information about Journey may be updated as we learn more about him. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
