Aykos is a young, male white Husky with a medium-length coat, now thriving in Old Westbury, NY after a tough start. He is not yet house trained and has not been neutered. At around two and a half years old, Aykos brings both the classic Husky spirit and resilience from his shelter experience, and he does best without cats. He craves an active, loving home and a chance at a fresh start.

About Aykos

Aykos was pulled from one of San Antonio’s toughest city shelters, where he arrived with barely any fur left on his skin. Now he’s a striking young white Husky, about two and a half years old, and looking every bit the classic head-turner. His coat has filled in beautifully to a medium-length, cream-white shine. Aykos gets along with other dogs, but he’s particular about his toys and food—he can be possessive, so any canine siblings would need to be tolerant, and introductions are a must. He hasn’t done well with cats. He’s still learning the ropes of being house trained, but he’s eager for a fresh start in a patient home. This patient and resilient “pretty boy” is ready for the kind of life that matches his dignity. Aykos is in Old Westbury, NY and waiting to finally leave shelter life behind for good.
