About Six
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Six! After spending six months on his own in the rugged hillside of a college campus, Six is finally ready for his next chapter. He came from a loving home where his primary person passed away, and after a series of changes and confusion, he ended up surviving in the wild, cautious and unseen, for months. When finally brought to safety, his new life could begin in earnest, surrounded by people dedicated to rebuilding his trust and confidence. Six shows signs of his earlier positive human experiences, knowing cues like Sit and Shake, and he quickly welcomes gentle affection once he feels secure. He thrives in calm and controlled surroundings but has made great progress gaining confidence in new situations. Now a participant in pack walks and adoption events, he demonstrates enthusiasm for food, a desire to please, and a playful spirit that belies his age. He still needs reassurance when meeting new men but, with patience, allows them into his circle. Six enjoys the company of non-confrontational, balanced dogs, and is suited to a home with older children who will support his continued confidence-building journey. Due to his history and a strong flight risk, it’s essential that Six has an adopter fully committed to his safety—crate training is crucial while unattended, all adventures should use a secure leash, and there must be awareness regarding doors, windows, and no off-leash activity in unfenced areas. He is now ready for a foster or foster-to-adopt family where he can polish his real-life skills and leave kennel living behind. Bonus astrological tidbit: with a birthday of March 1, Six is a Pisces—a sign known for loyalty and deep emotional bonds. Your new best friend is just one click away.
