About Jewels

Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Jewels was found on the Reservation with her six little puppies. She wandered into a police station, where officers feared her pups might run into danger, so they contacted local rescues for help—that was two years ago. Since then, all her puppies have found their forever homes, but Jewels still waits patiently for her special family to come along. Jewels is a quiet and somewhat shy girl when you first meet her, and because of her gentle nature, she would do best in a home without small children. She's a medium-sized heeler mix, about three and a half years old, spayed, microchipped, and fully up to date on her vaccinations. Jewels is polite on car rides, enjoys her walks, and may show a playful streak by chasing the occasional lizard or rabbit—true to her heeler roots. She may enjoy having a canine companion, provided a meet and greet goes well, but her experience with cats is unknown. Jewels dreams of a family to call her own and hopes you'll consider making her a cherished part of your home. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Jewels

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Mixed-breed dogs, especially those with heeler lineage, generally adapt well to homes where they have both companionship and enough space to exercise. They thrive in environments with active families or individuals who can provide regular walks and mental stimulation.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Medium-sized mixed-breed dogs like heelers benefit from a secure backyard or access to daily walks. They enjoy interactive playtime and outdoor activities, but can also do well in more urban settings as long as their exercise needs are met.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Heelers and heeler mixes can be sensitive to quick movements and noise, making them better suited to homes with older children who understand how to interact gently with animals. They may be overwhelmed by the energy of very young children.
