Hi my name is Elka! I am a very sensitive and sweet kitty who thrives on belly rubs and head massages. I am a darling tortoiseshell kitty that my foster mom describes as "the perfect cat" I love to sit on a window seat or cat tree and look out the window and watch the world go by. I also love to snuggle up next to you while you work or watch TV. I was adopted once and I thought my long wait for a forever home was over but I was returned after being in the home for a year- my adoptive mom said she wanted more of a "lap cat" Although I love to snuggle next to you and sleep on your bed, I am not the kind of kitty who likes to be picked up or held. I have been looking for my fur-ever home for 5 years- most people want a kitten but I am here to tell you that I won't mess up your house or scratch your furniture- I am a lovely adult cat that has many more years - and I hope to spend it in a permanent home.
