Meadow was brought to us as a stray who turned out not to be stray but had been out on her own looking for a new home due to the addition of a dog that she refused to accept. She would not stay inside no matter what. Neighbors had begun taking her in at night so she would be safe but during the day she would wander in search of a free meal. Another group was trapping for a lost cat in the neighborhood but the only cat they would get in their trap was Meadow looking for a meal. They asked us to take her in until they could advertise & post her as found. We did & when we took her to the vet we found she had a microchip & was successful at locating her owner. After some conversation the person agreed she was unhappy at home & allowed us to take her & place her for adoption. She has been very happy inside since coming in to us but she says that her dream home would be one where she could go in & out. She hasn't tried to go out with us but she does love sitting on her fluffy cat bed looking out the window. We would love to see her safely inside but she might be happier or more content if she had outside access & the ultimate would be somewhere she could live life with a catio. No dogs for this gal! She might do ok with one other accepting non alpha cat but really wants to be the whole show! She is the sweetest calico we have ever seen. She is 5 years old but she LOVES to play almost as much as she loves to cuddle & be adored! She is completely vetted with vaccines & FIV/FELV negative & just waiting for the right home!
