Meet Max! Max is officially ready for adoption! When Max first came to the Gooding Dog Pound, we knew there was something special about him. Since then, he has spent a lot of time in a foster environment, getting to experience life outside of the kennel and showing us what kind of dog he really is. And honestly, Max has been an absolute joy to have around. Max is the kind of dog that just wants to be wherever his people are. He loves being part of the family and is just as happy relaxing on the couch with you as he is playing outside. He loves car rides, loves swimming, and enjoys getting out and experiencing new things. We have also learned that Max does great with kids, gets along well with other dogs, and tolerates cats. He is doing pretty good on a leash, has shown good recall, and his potty training has been coming along really well. Like any young dog, he is still learning, but he is smart, eager to please, and wants to do the right thing. Max even spent some time at the fair, and we were really proud of him. With all the people, noise, and activity around him, Max didn't bark at anyone or anything. He took it all in stride and showed us once again what an awesome dog he is. More than anything, Max just wants to be with his people. He wants to follow you around, be included, go along for the ride, and be part of whatever you're doing. Max isn't just looking for a place to live. He is looking for a family to be part of, and I truly believe he is going to make someone an amazing companion.
