Meet Pancake, the delightful 4-year-old sweetheart who is just bursting with personality! This lovely girl, who's had her share of struggles, is finally on the mend and ready to find her forever home! 💖 When she first came to us, she was sick and emaciated, suffering from EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency). But oh, how the tides have changed! With her dedicated foster family, Pancake has blossomed into a healthy, happy pup who is now a lively 55lbs! 🐾 Pancake is a playful dynamo, always ready for a game of fetch with a tennis ball or a spirited romp with her squeaky toys. Just watch out—those toys might not make it through her enthusiastic shredding! 😂✨ She loves to be outside, exploring the world, but she also adores human companionship, following her foster family around the house like a cheerful little shadow. 🌞 While she’s got plenty of energy to burn off (a fenced-in yard and a doggy playmate would truly be her dream!), she can be a bit of a challenge when it comes to leash walking. Pancake pulls strongly because she’s just so ready to explore! 🚀 But don’t worry; she’s making progress! She even enjoys short runs, although she might get distracted by every new smell. That's just Pancake being Pancake! 🏃‍♀️💨 Don’t let her spirited nature fool you—she's also a gentle soul who has shown she can be well socialized with people and tolerates other dogs just fine. That being said, she would prefer to be in an active adult home without young children or seniors. Pancake is a loyal protector too, with a loud bark to guard her loved ones! 🐶⚡ Her EPI requires her to be on a special diet and enzymes need to be added to her food with a bit of love and patience, but it’s manageable! And hey, who wouldn’t want to care for this affectionate cuddle bug? Pound for pound, she is loving and ready to shower her new family with all her joy! 💕 Pancake is spayed, up-to-date on her shots, and currently living in Arlington, VA.
