Meet Nakoa, the adorable one-year-old tripod wonder at 46 pounds of pure delight! 🎉 This incredible pup is a mix of bravery and charm, with a DNA heritage that will surprise you: 25% Great Pyrenees, 12% Australian Cattle Dog, 11% German Shepherd, 9% Anatolian Shepherd, and 8% Labrador Retriever. His name means "brave and courageous warrior"—and he truly embodies every bit of that spirit! 🐾 Nakoa’s journey hasn’t been easy. He was rescued from the streets by the wonderful folks at Perry's Promise after showing up with an injured leg that required amputation. Can you believe he overcame such big challenges? After a solid recovery in a loving foster home, Nakoa is now at the shelter, happily mingling with his furry buddies, Almond Joy, Zyla, and Skyy. Believe me, my first year was quite a ride, so I’m still figuring out the doggy world. I may be a bit shy around humans, but I’m learning to relax thanks to some amazing furry friends. They taught me that joining the pack is totally worth it! I’ve discovered how to play! 🎾 I love tossing around my chew toys and stuffies, even if I’m still mastering the art of fetching (don’t laugh too hard, I’ll get there!). There's something magical about running in the yard, sliding on my tummy, and rolling around in pure joy. After all that, I can’t resist a good cuddle in the big bed with my human—nothing compares to that love! 😍 Though I’ve come a long way, I still need some help. New places and sounds can make me a bit jumpy at times, but I promise with patience and love, I’ll show you how playful and affectionate I can be! Just know I need a home with another dog or two and a family who understands that I might take a little time to come out of my shell.
