🌟 Meet Jenny, an absolutely delightful 2-3-year-old foxhound, whippet, pointer, and Jack Russell terrier mix! This girl has faced challenges that would make lesser pups whittle away, but instead, she’s embraced life with a big smile and an even bigger heart! 💖 Lets start with her story. Jenny was unfortunately hit by a car early in her life, which is something no creature should have to endure. She ended up in a shelter in South Carolina—you know, the kind that just tugs at your heartstrings—and that’s where her journey truly began. Our amazing team, known for helping pups with special mobility needs, heard about her and knew we had to help! And help we did! 💪 Jenny has bravely undergone two hip surgeries. That first one—a femoral head osteotomy (or FHO for those in the know!)—was quite the undertaking! The surgeon worked wonders, removing the head of her femur and creating a little pocket to help her heal. 🌈 It took her nearly a year to bounce back from that one, but our girl didn’t let that slow her down! The second surgery helped pull out pesky scar tissue and painful bone growth. Talk about a tough cookie! 🍪 Now, she’s ready to strut her stuff into a loving forever home. What you’ll immediately notice about Jenny is her zest for life. She’s got the hunting spirit in her, always on the lookout for the next bunny or squirrel to chase—bless her heart! 🐇 Although she does enjoy romping with other dogs, she prefers to avoid overly exuberant big dogs (she can hold her own, but let’s keep her safe!). She navigates grass with grace but does require a little special care on concrete to protect her back legs. Jenny has such a personality; when she’s tired, she may even sashay sideways! 😄 This sweetheart gets along splendidly with all her foster siblings, adores children, and even coexists beautifully with the cat in her foster home! 🐱 She’s crate trained and housetrained, though she does have a bit of urgency when it’s time to head outside. And oh, her leash skills? Impeccable! She loves exploring the neighborhood, sniffing around for anything that moves—it's her nature! 🚶‍♀️ Jenny has endured so much, but she continues to radiate love and positivity.
