Meet Freddie, a darling 2-year-old male Labrador Retriever/Terrier mix, and let’s just say he’s got the kind of charm that can light up any room! 😍 Brought to the HSOV on October 4, 2024, by a good Samaritan who found him wandering on Warner Street in Marietta, Ohio, this handsome boy was sadly without a collar or microchip—just waiting for someone to claim his heart! With his striking black and white coat that’s as beautifully marked as his personality, Freddie’s got it all: a long tail, dark brown eyes that twinkle with mischief, and those cute floppy ears that seem to tell a story of adventure. 🐾 What’s more? He has been hailed as a gentle soul, and his friendly, slightly shy demeanor makes him the perfect cuddle buddy. 🤗 Freddie is a medium-sized pooch, tipping the scales at 44.7 lbs when he made his entry into our shelter. He’s a pro on a leash, delighting in car rides, outdoor adventures, and the fun of playing fetch! 🌳 Just like many of his furry friends, he’s not so fond of baths, but who can blame him? (Honestly, who loves a bath? 😂) This sweet pup went through quite the journey, needing to be neutered on January 13, 2025, and he's already been backed up by love from two foster families who adored him dearly. However, life threw Freddie a curveball when a little bump in the road arose due to Lyme disease. But with determination and resilience, our brave boy is ready to find a place he can truly call home! 🏡 Freddie has also been tested to be excellent with other pets, sharing a home with two dogs and even two cats! That’s right—he’s got social smarts! He is house-trained, and although he’s still learning some basic commands, he’s a quick study with the right motivation (maybe a treat here and there? 🍖). This spirited boy has participated in several off-site HSOV events, and he soaks up the love from anyone who shares a bit of their time with him. Just last November, he had the best day frolicking through autumn leaves, grateful for a little sunshine and some well-deserved attention. 🌼 So, what are you waiting for?
