This big boy is a one-year-old male Mastiff/Labrador Retriever mix, and let me tell you, he is a sight to behold! 😍 Found graciously by a Good Samaritan on Boulevard Drive in Belpre, Ohio, Knox arrived at the HSOV on February 24, 2024, hoping to find his forever home. Although he came with a collar, it didn’t have any ID tags, and sadly, he wasn’t microchipped. But fear not, because here’s your chance to make this gentle giant part of your family! With a striking black short smooth coat adorned with a few delightful white markings on his chest and toes, Knox is not just easy on the eyes. His adorable face features dark brown 'teddy bear' eyes, a charming chubby muzzle, and those floppy ears that beg for a good scratch! 🐶 And how about a tail that wags like a pro? Knox is as friendly as they come, making new canine friends from across the room as he greeted them with a soft wag and a calm demeanor. Talk about a friendly soul! While Knox weighs a solid 76 lbs, don't let that fool you; he's got a heart of gold with an easygoing personality to match! He was an absolute gentleman during his photo session, basking in the extra TLC offered by the HSOV Kennel Tech, Kathryn Rea. And don't get him started on treats! This cutie is a pushover for 'good boy' snacks, especially if bacon strips are involved. You can just picture him following that delicious scent right to his cozy kennel! 😋🍖 Unfortunately, Knox faced some challenges while being fostered. Initially, he was set to be adopted, but he didn't quite get along with the resident dog and had to return to HSOV. But hey, sometimes it's just not the right match! So, Knox is back and ready for his happily ever after! He officially got neutered on January 13, 2025, and showed bravery in this new chapter of his life. He's now looking for a special person or family who can provide him with the love he deserves—and, ideally, a home where he can soak up all the attention!
