Meet Grim, the striking one-year-old male Hound/Catahoula Leopard Dog, who is ready to steal hearts and maybe a snack or two! 🎉 Found wandering in Washington County, Ohio, Grim made his way to the HSOV on October 21, 2025, without a dog license or a microchip. But don't worry, this charming young man is now on a quest for his forever home! 💖 Grim boasts a stunning black/gray coat adorned with a mesmerizing blue merle pattern, a petite patch of white on his chest, and tan accents on his long, elegant legs. Just picture that long tail wagging in excitement! With a gorgeous Hound face featuring big dark brown eyes and floppy ears, he’s hard to resist! 🐾 When Grim first arrived at the shelter, he was understandably nervous—who wouldn’t be? But, thanks to the warm care from our compassionate HSOV Kennel Techs, Grim has learned that he’s in good hands. He’s shown that he’s not just a pretty face; he’s also looking for love, guidance, and plenty of belly rubs! 🥰 At 65 lbs, Grim prefers to be the star of the show, so unfortunately, cats aren’t invited to his party. 😿 Originally held for the mandatory three-day stray hold as per Ohio Revised Code, he was not reclaimed. Don’t worry though! The lovely Lauryn Hamilton from HSOV took some stellar photos of him on November 5, 2025, highlighting just how dashing he is! 📸 It was heartwarming to see Grim gaze at Lauryn for assurance and affection—what a sweetheart! Grim was neutered on November 17, 2025, and received his rabies vaccine, stepping a little closer to being a fabulous family member. He briefly found a foster family who adored him but, due to a small clash with another dog in the house, he’s back at HSOV.
