This handsome 8-year-old male Pit Bull Terrier/Red Heeler mix entered the world of shelter life in quite the dramatic fashion — left outside in the cold early morning hours on January 26, 2024. Donning a collar but missing an ID tag or microchip, this charming fellow is a mystery. We wonder if he was lost or maybe even left behind by someone who couldn't see how magnificent he truly is. 😢 Piglet sports a charming white coat adorned with delightful red/brown ticking and a stunning brown patch on his right side. His large floppy ears and asymmetrically marked face, paired with his amber eyes and liver-colored nose, give him a personality that just shines! 🌟 You can't help but fall for that face! Now, here's where it gets a little fun! Picture this — Piglet, possibly with some Pointer relatives in his ancestry, making a grand entrance as he dodges those boring photo poses, eager for some fun or an extended walk instead. You can't blame him; life is too short to stand still! 💃 With a robust build weighing 64.2 lbs, he’s definitely a handful on the leash, but imagine the joy of those energetic walks! 🐾 What’s a little sad is that Piglet was retained at the shelter, giving his family a chance to reclaim him. Alas, no one came! Our hearts break knowing that this boy was left behind by his family, who referred to him as Brutus. It turns out, Piglet is a seasoned veteran when it comes to knowing what he wants — particularly when it comes to his living situation. This sweet giant is not a fan of children, especially if food is involved, and he does not get along with cats. 🐱 So, in his ideal world, he would thrive in a home as an ‘only child’ with an understanding adopter, preferably someone who can appreciate his unique personality. While Piglet might be a bit particular with his friends, he does tolerate other dogs who know to give him some space. This distinguished gentleman will need to be neutered before adoption, but don’t worry! He can be fostered while he awaits that procedure. So what are you waiting for?
