Introducing the wonderful Rex, a charming boy aged between 3 to 5 years! 🌟 Now, let’s talk about this magnificent creature and the journey that has brought him to where he is today. Rex has faced challenges that would make most tails droop, and yet he still has an incredible spirit! 🐾 Rex was discovered as a stray in Albany, and let me tell you, his past was far from easy. He suffered from entropion, a painful condition where his lashes rubbed against his eyes, leading to significant discomfort. 🥺 After being rescued from less than ideal circumstances, including being taken in by folks who really couldn’t provide proper care, his luck finally changed. Thanks to one of our compassionate volunteers who found him at a Home Depot, he made his way to a safe space where he could begin to heal. Now, in his foster home, he shares his life with multiple furry friends, including dogs and a cat. While some might think he’s a little lazy, his love for lounging is perfect for those looking for a laid-back companion. 💤 Rex has had a makeover: he’s been neutered, had his eyes fixed, and received all his vaccines! 🎉 He did test positive for Lyme disease, but don’t worry, he’s currently undergoing treatment and showing no symptoms. Rex also had a large mass on his chest which turned out to be a mast cell tumor, a serious diagnosis for sure! Luckily, the margins were clean, and that tough cookie is on the mend! 💪 We're just doing a final workup to be completely sure he’s cancer-free, but we want to assure you—it shouldn’t deter anyone from giving this sweetheart a forever home.
