Meet Sweetie, the gentle giant who's ready to steal the spotlight in your heart! 🎉 Born around August 1, 2024, this lovable pooch will likely reach around 70 lbs when she fills out to her fabulous self. Her life before rescue was with an elderly lady who showered her with love but faced some tough times. 🚗✨ This was only the second time Sweetie ever ventured in a car, and some drooling was involved – we all know road trips can be a bit much for our furry friends! Sweetie's early life didn’t involve many humans or outdoor excursions. However, she found joy and companionship with a tiny 3 lb dog and a few friendly felines. 🐶🐱 She absolutely thrived in their company! While noisier, rambunctious kids might make her a little uneasy (because let's face it, they can be a bit overwhelming!), older children should be just fine. When she arrived with us, you could see that nervousness in her eyes. But oh, how that melted away as she sat with kind souls on the floor, and soon, her body relaxed! Not once has Sweetie ever growled or bitten in stress, proving she has that delightful "quiet and laid-back" personality. But we know deep down, she has an adventurous side just waiting to shine. ✨💖 Although she’s not quite the leash-walking champ yet, she did well in our driveway! Sweetie is house trained and enjoys chewing on appropriate toys—never once has she gone rogue with her chewing habits! 🐾👍 Lucky for her, she’s been healthy, but she’s here for all the vet checks and TLC before finding her forever home. Her previous owner had to move to a pet-restricted apartment, and even offered to help out financially. But we told her the most important thing was to take care of herself—Joyful Rescues and our community would be by Sweetie’s side! 🌈❤️ We are all about love here!
