Originally rescued from an Arkansas shelter back in 2017, Tess has been through quite the journey. After being treated for heartworm and spent several loving years with a family, she found herself back with us in August 2024. Since her return, she has shed 30 extra pounds like a champion and is ready to find her forever home! Tess is the ultimate couch potato 🌈, whisking away her days in blissful relaxation but don’t let that fool you—there’s still plenty of pep in her step! Whether it’s playing with friends or going for delightful strolls in the park, she’s always up for a little fun under the sun. 🌤️ Picture her lounging outside, soaking up the rays and keeping a watchful eye on the world. Good news! Tess is housebroken and well past the phase of mischief, so she won’t be chewing on your favorite shoes. You can trust her to adapt wonderfully—whether your work routine is all about working from home, heading into an office, or something in between. Now, let’s talk health! Tess is spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccinations! While she does have a little arthritis and some benign lumps and bumps (what a delightful collection), she’s in good spirits and health for her age and is receiving the care she needs. Just a little bit of daily NSAIDs keeps her comfortable, and she will be on a one-month course of Doxycycline for an Anaplasma infection—nothing she can’t handle! Just a quick note: Tess is a resource guarder, and she might growl or snap if her food or chew toys are disturbed, so providing her a calm space during meal times is key! 🦴❤️ Now, let’s get real for a moment.
