About Tor
Meet Tor, a delightful dog filled with love and a heart that wants to cherish a forever home! 🐾 This handsome fellow, born in February 2020 (fun fact: he’s a compassionate Pisces with a soft spot for adventures!), found himself back in the rescue after his previous family’s circumstances changed. They initially adopted him as a puppy, but after two years, he was returned. Sadly, the other dogs in the household weren't welcoming, and poor Tor faced some very tough times. 😔 But fear not! He has been in a loving foster home since April 2022, where he has started to blossom once more! At his vet visit in August 2025, Tor weighed in at a solid 65 lbs and has stayed up to date on his vaccinations, proudly testing negative for heartworms! He’s on monthly prevention to keep him healthy and happy. Now, Tor is such a polite house guest! He doesn't chew on furniture or make messes—what a good boy! 🙌 When it comes to meeting new animals, he's a curious soul. His enthusiastic greetings may come off a tad strong, but it’s just his way of saying hello! Tor enjoys his sleep and is comfortable loose in the bedroom at night and during the day when his foster mom is away. He has a fondness for his crate and prefers a spacious 54-inch one! 💤 No messy accidents here, just a cozy den for him! While Tor isn’t the type to shower you with kisses—except for the occasional car ride smooch—he shows affection in plenty of other ways! With a little excitement, watch as he dances on the spot with his front paws when he's happy! 🎉 While out on walks, he can pull if he hasn’t gotten enough exercise, but he’s easily managed after burning some energy in the yard first. His foster mother had to use a walker for a while due to surgery, and Tor was the gentlest companion. 🥰 He adores running and would thrive as a running buddy or on long hikes—imagine the adventures! Tor gets along well with other dogs, but he gets a bit too excited upon first meeting, so it’s always best to supervise those introductions. His play style is more about fun runs than roughhousing, and he is such a gentle giant when settling in with smaller friends. He’s figured out a way to coexist with cats too—he’s learning to be respectful (important!) but would be happiest in a cat-free home. With a personality as robust as his looks, Tor’s a mix of shepherd and lab, though his lineage boasts a border collie mom and a Carolina dog dad—talk about genes! 🌟 He’s eager to please and ready to be trained, but he’d thrive best with an experienced owner who knows how to guide him, since he’s not one for beginners. Heads up, he can be a tad reserved with strangers but will happily engage with you if you’re patient. And don’t get him started on car rides to his favorite fast-food spots—French fries are his love language! 🍟 If you think Tor could be your new best friend, you are encouraged to *apply through the Buddy App*! This lovely boy is waiting to find his forever family, and he knows it could be you! 🌈 Adopt Tor today and bring some joy into your life!
