She was discovered during a wellness check after a concerned call about a dog thought to be abandoned. When our officers arrived, they found sweet Val in a cramped and filthy two-by-three foot kennel, with little hope left in her eyes. Tragically, her brother, who had been by her side, had passed away. Val was just skin and bones, completely overwhelmed by what had happened to her. But hold onto your hearts, because this is where the light shines! 🌟 With a lot of love — and multiple baths that might have turned her into a shampoo commercial star — Val is slowly but surely transforming back into the puppy she was meant to be. Though her little paws might still carry some stains from her past, the team is working tirelessly to help her put that nightmare behind her and embrace the joyful life she truly deserves. At just 1-2 years old, she is up to date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and will be scheduled for spay once she reaches a healthy weight.
