About Nova

Introducing the fabulous Nova! This stunning beauty was sadly surrendered by a young couple who realized they may have bitten off more than they could chew! 🐶💔 Although they didn’t research the giant breed, their love for her shines through in their decision to give her a chance at a better life. Now, let’s talk about that gorgeous coat! 🙌 After some matted fur was trimmed, it has grown back in all its fluffy, curly glory! Trust me, her beauty turns heads wherever she goes! Nova is a social butterfly who just adores meeting new friends and receiving head scratches and belly rubs! 🥰 She’s got that classic Pyrenees charm, often resting her adorable head on your lap or sitting on your foot—yep, she’s a snuggler! This calm little angel is also a joyful playmate, happily frolicking with her canine buddies or entertaining herself with her favorite toys. 🎾 Chewing on wrong things? Nah, Nova’s too well-behaved for that... for now at least! 🌟 Having had the companionship of other dogs in her previous life, she would thrive in a home with at least one male canine companion. Plus, she’s been known to get along well with cats, making her a versatile addition to any fur family! 😻 And let’s not forget the kiddos—Nova is fantastic with children, making family playtime even more fun! Now, here’s where it gets a bit serious. 🏥 While Nova is on the path to recovery from some muscle weakness due to her past, she’s actively receiving treatment and already showing promising improvement! Just shy of 6 months old and tipping the scales at 60 lbs, she’s destined to be a big, strong girl—over 100 lbs when fully grown! So, if you’re looking for a big-hearted companion, Nova might just be your match! Nova is up-to-date on core vaccines, microchipped, and protected against heartworms and fleas/ticks. She will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract, and adopters must provide vet records when the time comes for that procedure. To adopt Nova, there are a few requirements to keep in mind: - A secure and visible fence for her to play safely. - A home visit to ensure it’s the perfect fit. - A vet reference with at least a two-year history. Adoption is open to folks in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, and Arkansas (with transportation assistance available!). So, if you’re ready to welcome this wonderful girl into your heart and home, don’t wait! 📱 Apply to adopt Nova through the Buddy App today!
