This courageous pup was found abandoned in a home, without food or water for almost two weeks! After finding a foster home, things took another twist when he was hit by a car, which landed him at a shelter. But fear not! Gus is now in a safe and loving environment, having recently undergone surgery on December 2nd for his broken hip. While he has a fractured pelvis that will heal in due time, he's already bouncing back and making the best of his situation. He loves to play with his furry friends—three big dogs and a feisty Chihuahua—and has even mastered the doggy door like a pro! 🐶 Gus is incredibly friendly and gets along fabulously with both adults and children of all ages. While he hasn’t been tested with cats, his gentle spirit leads us to believe he would do just fine, especially since he adores his Chihuahua buddy. However, since he uses the doggy door, it’s best to assume he might need a little help with potty training in a new home without one. The ideal forever family for Gus is one that is active yet home often, as he absolutely loves snuggling up on laps and being surrounded by the warmth of family.
