Meet the fabulous Pearl, a petite powerhouse of affection and playfulness! 🌟 At just about 1.5 years old, this delightful Doberman may be small in stature, but she’s undeniably massive in spirit and love! 💖 Imagine a brave little soul who once roamed the streets of Kansas, unsure and underweight, but full of life. That’s Pearl! She came into rescue along with her two littermates, Ember and Sophie, and wow, has she blossomed! She’s transformed into a super affectionate "Velcro" dog who adores being close to her humans, always ready to give snuggles and get some in return. 🤗 In her foster home, Pearl has made friends with her resident pets — 2 cats and 2 dogs — where she feels secure. Yet, much like her brother Ember, she can be a tad reactive to unfamiliar dogs and strangers, usually from a place of fear. But don’t worry! 🐾 With consistent training and a whole lot of patience, Pearl is steadily building her confidence. She just needs a loving home that’s ready to continue guiding her on this beautiful journey! She does tend to have strong leash reactivity towards other dogs but will get right into a game of fetch with her humans once she’s comfortable. 🐕️💨 While it might take a moment for her to warm up to new faces, once she does, Pearl is a fantastic social butterfly! She thrives on love and wants nothing more than to be close to you. She even met a child under 10 during her time at her foster home! After a slow introduction, they were playing like old friends in no time! With her gentle demeanor and eagerness to please, she deserves a calm, understanding home that appreciates her quirks. Pearl has mastered her basic commands — sit, stay, touch, down, wait, and kennel — and yes, she’s 100% house-trained and crate-trained. This lovely girl sleeps peacefully through the night in her trusty Ruffland kennel, where she happily enjoys her meals and relaxation. 💤🍽️ This sweet girl needs a special, experienced foster home, ideally with folks who understand the unique nature of Dobermans or anxious pups and are willing to commit to some behavioral training.
