Meet the absolutely adorable Bugsy, an 8-month-old bundle of nerves who needs a special home to help him shine! 🌟 Bugsy is new to the rescue and comes from a breeding background where he didn’t receive the nurturing he craved, leaving him a bit shy and anxious in this big, new world. Imagine the sweetest little face, wide-eyed with curiosity and just a pinch of apprehension. 🐶❤️ Everything is an adventure for him, from meeting new people to discovering new smells. He’s making amazing progress at our Sunday meet and greet events, but it’s important to remember that the path to confidence will be a journey taken in baby steps. Bugsy’s perfect family will be one filled with patience and understanding, guiding him as he learns what it means to truly be a dog. Having another small breed dog in the home would be a huge boost for his confidence and provide him someone to emulate. Think of the delightful duo they could become! 🐾✨ While Bugsy isn't quite ready for adoption just yet, the future holds so much promise for this loving boy. The ideal home for him would also have kids aged 8 and older who can join him in play and exploration! 🎉 However, due to his nerves, he will need a securely fenced yard (sorry, no invisible fences or tie outs for our little Bugsy!) to keep him safe as he learns to trust himself and the world around him. Keep in mind, it would be super helpful to bring along photos or videos of your fenced yard, as well as your other canine family members so we can see how they interact together. To complete a pre-adoption application, be sure to do so through the Buddy App, as we typically don’t handle day-of adoptions, and all out-of-state adoptions are a no-go! The adoption fee for Bugsy is $400, payable via cash, check, or Venmo.
