At around 5 years old, she has journeyed through some tough times, having been rescued from a hoarding situation in Spencer County just last year. Imagine being one of many dogs left outside to fend for themselves! 💔 When Laurel first arrived at the kennel last September, she faced many challenges: an eye infection that led to the loss of her left eye, a troubling infestation of ticks and fleas, and the harsh effects of severe mange and malnutrition. Understandably, she was wary and didn’t trust humans at all. But oh, how far she has come! 🌈 Laurel is now a blossoming star at the kennel, where she has taken on the role of 'boss' in the play yard. She absolutely loves playing with other dogs (and we suspect she’s fond of cats too!). And while she thinks she’s the boss of fun, she also has a gentle but firm way of making sure everyone behaves.
