While Louie found the hustle and bustle of the daycare a bit overwhelming—who wouldn’t with all that barking?—he's now thriving in the quieter environment of his rescue. Imagine this big baby, laying on a couch, splooting away in sheer contentment. 🛋️ He might not be the fetch champion you’d hope for, but he does have a special talent for melting hearts with his cuddles. He takes his time warming up to new faces, especially if those faces lean in for a head pat. If you’re patient, however, Louie will gradually let you into his world. He interacts weekly with multiple volunteers and is showing real progress in his comfort around various people. Once he gives his trust, he’s the most affectionate cuddle bug you can imagine! 😍 Now, Louie is a true lap dog at heart—he still thinks he’s a tiny pup that can curl right up beside you! He walks well on a leash and loves his car rides. With a treat in hand, he’s eager to learn, especially when it comes to commands. He’s been mastering the ‘place’ command, patiently waiting for food or his leash to go have an outdoor adventure. But let’s be honest; Louie’s journey does require continued training and a hefty dose of patience from his forever home. And trust me, it’s absolutely going to be worth it! 🎉 Louie will flourish in a calm home with a sturdy 6ft fence, ideally with a human who really understands the American Pitbull breed. He tends to do better with women and will need a few meet and greets to really feel secure about finding his forever family. For now, he should be the only pet in the home since he’s had some misunderstandings with more assertive pals.
