Meet Rayne and her charming brother, Memphis! 🐶💕 These two beauties were found in Folkston, GA, clinging to life after being dumped in a known area. Can you imagine what they’ve been through? Covered in ticks, scared, and starving, it took a determined citizen and her husband a whole week to earn their trust and rescue them. But oh, the miracle doesn’t stop there! They arrived at our care facility and have truly transformed into the sweetest, most gentle souls you could ever hope to meet. Rayne is the kind of dog who will nuzzle her head against you as if to say, ‘Thank you for believing in me.’ 🥰 And Memphis? He’s a loyal gentleman who will stand by your side, ready for adventure. Both are calm and well-mannered – they walk beautifully on a leash and head back to their kennels without a fuss when asked. The bond between them is beautiful; they play wonderfully with other dogs and have blossomed into fantastic companions. But let’s be real; they’ve seen some tough times, so a loud household might not be their cup of tea. With gentle encouragement, Rayne is learning that it’s okay to feel safe, but a peaceful home is what both of them truly need to thrive. They could be adopted together or separately, but let’s talk about Memphis for a moment. When it comes to meal times, he prefers to dine solo—separately from Rayne. Why, you ask? Because in his past of starvation, he learned to be protective over his food. Don’t worry though, outside of meal times, he’s the ultimate gentleman! 😌 Both pups are spayed and neutered, microchipped, and while they’re heartworm positive, they’re on slow kill treatment and will soon be as healthy as any other dog! 🐾🏡 A home with a fenced yard is a must for Rayne and Memphis because they deserve the freedom to roam, play, and feel safe.
