Approx. 5 years old and weighing in at about 54 lbs, Luka is ready to find his forever home where he can share all his love and affection. When Luka arrived at Mostly Mutts, he had an overgrown coat that needed some serious TLC. Picture this: tight tangles causing discomfort, but thanks to the amazing veterinary and volunteer care he received, he’s feeling like a brand-new pup! His fluffy coat has been shaved down, and his once painful tail has been docked, meaning he’s dancing through life once again! 💃 Although he’s looking sharp, Luka will require regular grooming to maintain that gorgeous coat of his, so be prepared for a bit of pampering! Luka is a true gentle spirit. He’s still warming up to new experiences and may initially be a little shy—especially during photo ops! 📸 But, don’t let that fool you—once he feels comfortable, his playful and loving personality shines through like the brightest star in the sky! ⭐ At the vet, he was in doggie heaven, soaking up all the loving rubs like the superstar he is! While, he’s on a couple of anxiety medications to help him settle from the shelter stress, Luka believes that a loving home will work wonders and let him wean off them soon. When it comes to his furry friends, Luka is open to meeting other dogs! 🐶 He was curious and interested in fellow canines at Mostly Mutts, but he might not be ready to jump into a playdate just yet, so a meet and greet with any resident pups would be ideal. Cats? Unknown. And while meeting kids could be fun, he might not be the best fit for homes with toddlers, as he has a bit of a jumpy nature right now. Luka is currently enrolled in the Mostly Mutts University training program, ready to learn all sorts of skills and commands! 🧠 He’s working on his leash manners, as he can be a little pull-happy, and while he loves giving big hugs and jumping on people, his trainer is helping him un-learn those playful habits. Medical-wise, Luka is all set with his annual vaccinations, micro-chipped, and neutered. He’s on a few medications for shelter stress and skin itching, but with time and care, he’s sure to bounce back fully!
