As a corgi mix, his family tree boasts some charming influences, possibly including a bit of dachshund, bully breeds, and maybe even a sprinkle of Jack Russell or rat terrier! Talk about a variety pack! 🐾 Monk's journey hasn't been easy. He came to the rescue alongside 24 other dogs from a challenging background where they weren’t given the best conditions for care. Due to this, new places can make Monk a bit nervous at first—but wait for it—he blossoms quickly with a little love and those ever-popular treats! 🍖 This sweetheart absolutely adores affection! From head scratches and ear rubs to belly rubs that could make anyone melt, Monk is totally on board with love! Plus, his love for food makes training a delightful breeze. With other dogs, he’s a social butterfly, often waiting eagerly at the door for his outdoor adventures. He’s also a work in progress with housetraining—while he’s not fully there yet, he’s got the right spirit and knows the importance of a signal! 🏅 Our dashing Monk has been neutered and is crate trained, continuing to master his leash skills. However, he can be a bit shy in new environments, making a secure fenced yard a must-have for his new home. It’s important to note that because he’s still finding his paws in the world, he’s best suited for a family that is experienced with shy-but-sweet pups.
