🌟 Meet Nova! 🐶 This marvelous pup arrived in our lives in 2024, and she’s still waiting for her forever home. Nova is a beautiful soul who needs to be the only pet in your heart and home, but let me tell you, she absolutely adores people! 💖 If you’ve got kids aged 7 and up, she’ll fit right in with your family! Now, let’s take a little journey into Nova’s past. At around 5 years old, she was rescued from a high-kill shelter in sunny California. ☀️ When she arrived in CT, she was actually pregnant! Don’t you just love a story with a twist? 👶 Her previous family found homes for all her adorable puppies, hoping to keep Nova as their beloved pet. But as life would have it, things changed. With other animals around, sweet Nova became a bit reactive. This led to an unexpected medical journey. Initially, she was diagnosed with a vaginal prolapse, and after seeing the vet, they placed purse-string sutures in to help. However, when they were removed, the issue returned. A trip to the emergency vet was in order, and we learned that Nova’s problem was actually hormone-driven hyperplasia, rather than a prolapse. Phew! Good news! 🥳 A spay surgery later and she’s back to being her healthy self, thanks to the love and care from our team. The total cost of her medical adventures exceeded $2,000, but every penny was worth it for this wonderful dog! 🏥 Now, Nova is on the lookout for the perfect family who can give her all the love she so deserves. She’s house trained, enjoys walking on a leash, and knows her basic commands like a pro! Plus, with her charming personality and gentle nature, she’s ready to be a delightful addition to any household. 🌈 What Nova dreams of is a cozy fenced yard where she can frolic and feel the wind in her fur, but don’t worry—she's not a high-energy whirlwind!
