In early December, Dahlia was found roaming the streets of Texas—pregnant, tired, and yearning for a safe haven. But a compassionate soul opened their home to her, allowing Dahlia to trust, rest, and perform her magic as a mother. She safely delivered and lovingly raised all eight of her little family, who are now ready to venture into their own beautiful futures. Although Dahlia's time with other dogs has been limited due to her attention on motherhood, she has displayed a peaceful and easygoing nature with the resident dog in her current foster home. And guess what?! She has had brief encounters with cats and remains completely unfazed—what a chill girl! 🐱 Dahlia has comfortably interacted with children aged 1 to 12. However, since she is heartworm positive—and needs time to heal—she would thrive in a calm and relaxed environment, ideally one with older kids who understand the importance of giving her the space she’s earned while on her journey to recovery. 🏡💖 Though Dahlia hasn't had much training yet, her learning curve is steep, and she is a quick study! Once you gently show her how to ask for treats or let you know when she wants to come inside, she’ll remember it! Just think how cute it will be to teach this lovely lady her new tricks.
