Otis came into the GGBR family after being lovingly surrendered by his previous owner, who raised him since he was just 8 weeks old. As sweet as Otis is, he developed some separation anxiety which made living with neighbors a bit tricky. But guess what? He’s blossoming in his foster home with other dogs, learning to be more confident every single day! 🌟 Now, this handsome Basset Hound isn't just easy on the eyes with his long silky ears, big brown eyes, and beautiful black and tan coat; he’s also quite the talker! 🗣️ With that characteristic deep Basset voice, Otis loves to bark during playtime and let the world know when he’s on the walk of fame! And let's chat about his unique walking style; Otis is undeniably a "flat Basset." 🐾 When he’s done walking, he simply flops down, taking a well-deserved rest. Weighing in at 55 pounds and still growing into his big paws, Otis is just a bundle of joy! Snuggling is his love language. 💖 He’s mastered the doggie door and often sneakily hops onto his foster family's bed for nighttime cuddles. Treat time? Oh, he takes them gently and isn’t overly food-driven—definitely not typical for a Basset! With a playful heart, Otis adores his foster siblings and is especially fond of his bloodhound brother! He also charms the cats around him, occasionally giving them a gentle chase. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations, making him perfectly poised to find his furever home! 🌈 While Otis is being fostered in the Sacramento area, his dedicated foster family is more than happy to hit the road for potential adopters.
