Over two years ago, in the enchanting land of Costa Rica, Dale found himself in a precarious situation after being hit by a car. The vet did say that if he had received treatment right away, his path to recovery could have been much smoother. But oh, how resilience shines through! When Dale was brought to safety, he was living with other dogs on a farm, but that wasn't enough to keep him down. Just a few months before making his big move to the U.S., he stayed with a compassionate vet who provided him with laser therapy to boost his recovery. Now, in addition to that, he is also receiving acupuncture, and while we’re hopeful for his improvement through continued physical therapy, we must recognize the challenges he faces due to the length of time since his injury. But hold up! This little treasure gets around fabulously in his wheelchair—yep, that’s how he earned his name, Dale (after Dale Earnhardt!). 🏎️ Out of the wheelchair, he’s a determined little guy, getting around quite well. At home, he sports a belly band to keep things tidy and happily navigates through the doggie door like a pro. Dale has an enormous reservoir of love to share! 🙌 He adores attention—seriously, if you’re willing to give this boy some affection, he’s all in! He’s a pro snuggler, always keen to follow his humans around, simply to stay close. 💕 Dale is a gentle soul too, and he absolutely thrives in the company of kids and other dogs—he’s currently being fostered with 12 furry friends! 🐶 After facing such a rough start in life, Dale truly deserves a real home where he can soak in all the love and care he dreams of. 💭 Currently, his foster is situated in Tucson, AZ, but Dale frequently travels to the Phoenix/East Valley area, making it easier for caring individuals like you to meet him.
