Stellar's incredible journey began when neighborhood dogs discovered him as a tiny bundle of fur, just 4-5 weeks old. The owner's heart melted at the sight and saved him from becoming a chew toy by handing Stellar over to one of our wonderful volunteers. What a transformation it has been! He went from being a wild child to a dignified gentleman who once found himself as the only cat in a room full of puppies. But when introduced to a mama cat and her lively kittens, he turned into a protective father figure. 🐱💖 Who knew this boy had it in him? Even now, after all the kittens have grown and been adopted, he still has his best buddy, Button, to share playtime and cuddle sessions with. Talk about a formidable duo! Now, let’s talk about Stellar’s preferences. This lovely boy truly flourishes in a home with other cats. Being an only child didn't suit him, and he’s come into his own surrounded by furry friends. 🐾 He has been around children, but he prefers to keep his distance and observe from a comfortable nook. Stellar does take some time—about 24-48 hours—to adjust to new environments. He might growl and hiss when first placed in a new situation, but have no fear! Once he realizes there’s no threat, he settles in like the king he is. Regal introductions are key; it’s best to give him a cozy room of his own for a few days where he can adjust to the unfamiliar sights, sounds, and scents. And let’s not forget—encounters with other pets should start with some boundaries. 🌈 Open that door at night and watch him explore at his own pace when everyone else is dreaming!
