🌟 Introducing the dynamic duo: Rhys and Rosario! When the world thinks of R & R, it often brings to mind rest and relaxation. But for these two, R & R signifies an unfathomable bond between a devoted mother and her beloved son. Arriving at the rescue in late April 2024, they were lucky enough to be rescued by a former adopter who showered them with kindness, ensuring they were spayed and neutered and brought safely indoors. Sadly, with three resident cats already ruling the roost, their rescuer knew it was time for a new beginning for this precious pair! From the moment they came in, Rhys and Rosario shocked everyone with their unique personalities. While they might look easygoing with their stunning features, it turns out they were a little more than hesitant about humans! Terrified at first, this charming mother-son duo has taken time to adjust. But oh, how watching their journey unfold has been a beautiful adventure! Rhys, our shy and stunning boy, remains hard to reach, and his darling mother Rosario is constantly by his side, offering the comfort he so desperately needs. With Rosario born in late spring of 2022 and Rhys following in September 2023, their bond is unbreakable, pure, and oh-so-touching. Being together has brought them solace, and those furtive yet oh-so-adorable glances at each other are nothing short of heartwarming! 😻 As they inhabit the Clubhouse, they continue to grow, taking tiny steps towards trust and love. Thanks to time and patience, both of them have shown progress—Rhys allows the occasional pet, while Rosario has also learned that with humans, good things can happen! They’re still adjusting and might always carry bits of their feral spirit, but knowing they’re safe, respected, and loved makes all the difference. Rhys prefers to watch the world go by from a distance, playing happily with fellow furry friends but rarely letting anyone too close. On the other hand, Rosario is beginning to soften, showing interest in some gentle handling while remaining her lovely, cautious self. They thrive in a peaceful setting and are loving their lives together. Ultimately, we're convinced that Rhys and Rosario will find their place as Purrmanent Residents, and that’s perfectly okay! They may not be ready for adoption, and that’s alright, as they deserve a safe haven where they can simply be. 🌈💖 Want to get involved?
