Introducing the lovely Miss May, a young superstar of a cat coming in at about 12 to 13 months old! 🌟 This delightful lady is dressed in a stunning white coat with mesmerizing gray tabby markings that resemble a cape across her back. Talk about fashion-forward! 😻 Miss May has a heartwarming backstory that tugs at the heartstrings. Rescued from a residential area in Russell County, she was believed to be dumped in the spring as a playful little kitten. Kind-hearted neighbors stepped in to feed her, not knowing she was pregnant! By summer, they realized what was happening and sought help from the Somerset-Pulaski County Humane Society, knowing this mama needed a safe haven. In June, as the heat of summer bore down, SPCHS welcomed her into their program. We knew she wouldn’t survive delivering those precious kittens outdoors. Can you believe she gave birth to a whopping 12 kittens? (Yes, you heard that right, folks! 😲) While two were stillborn, the other ten thrived under Mama May’s impeccable care, with the support of her dedicated foster mom. No illnesses plagued these fur babies, thanks to the love, bottle-feeding, and, of course, Miss May's nurturing spirit. The kittens were born on July 6th—what a summer they had! ☀️ Now that her kittens are all weaned, Miss May is ready to find her forever home. She’s been spayed, tested negative for FIV/FeLeuk, vaccinated, and micro-chipped! 🐾 According to her foster mom, Miss May is one of the sweetest cats she’s ever encountered. All she wants is to be snuggled and cuddled up in your lap.
