About Rocky

Meet Rocky, a spunky little bundle of joy ready to melt hearts everywhere! 💖 Now, picture this: a dazzling kitten with the spirit of a lioness, despite her unique challenges. Rocky has severe cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), which means she can’t walk or stand. But let me tell you, she doesn’t let that stop her for even a split second! As soon as she hears a familiar voice or sees a toy, it's like a little party begins – her adorable purrs never stop and somersaults might even happen when she’s feeling extra excited! 🎉 This little lady is about 3-4 months old and will be off for her spay surgery on December 8th, just in time to find her forever home! Now, let’s talk social skills! Rocky thrives on attention from both her humans and her feline friends. She’s the queen of silliness, and her “flop and play” moves are guaranteed to entertain! You can catch her launching herself after toys with all the pep in her little body, bopping them around like a true champion! 🐾 And, oh, she absolutely adores being cuddled and petted – it’s her love language! 😻 Caring for Rocky is a special journey that requires love, patience, and a sprinkle of creativity. While previous caregiving experience for cats with special needs isn’t strictly necessary, having an open heart and plenty of flexibility is a must! Here’s what you need to know about her amazing little world: - Rocky can’t stand or walk, but she’s a master at flopping from one place to another! She needs surfaces with great traction like rugs or carpets to get around comfortably. - Fully litter-trained, she uses pellet litter in a low-entry box, getting there all by herself! 😇 - Mealtime is a little different; she needs a helping hand to support her as she eats and gets refreshed with wet food mixed with water to keep her hydrated, since she doesn’t drink water on her own. Although her care requires some adaptation, Rocky’s flexibility means she can adjust to new routines with lots of love! A home with plenty of interaction would be ideal, whether with another cat buddy or a dedicated human who has ample time to shower her with affection. Even though her foster parent works outside of the home, Rocky manages just fine on her own during those stretches. She might not have met any dogs or kids yet, but older children and gentle dogs that understand her limitations may be perfect pals! Rocky is a joyful, radiant kitty who deserves a family that loves her wholeheartedly for exactly who she is! If you feel that special connection and want to learn more, please apply to adopt Rocky through the Buddy App. Let’s give this little star the home she deserves! 🌟💖
