The Aussiedoodle is a cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle, so size and coat vary a lot. Dogs run from toy and mini sizes under 30 pounds to standards around 70, with wavy or curly coats in many colors, including merle. Because it's a mix, one Aussiedoodle can look and act quite different from the next.
Both parent breeds are quick, high-energy working dogs, and many Aussiedoodles are happiest with a job, whether that's agility, hiking or daily training games. In Charlotte, that means planning for an hour of exercise a day plus some brain work. Plan on professional grooming every six to eight weeks and regular brushing, since curly coats mat easily and shedding isn't guaranteed to be light.
