Temperament
American Foxhounds are usually gentle, sociable and tolerant, and many enjoy other dogs. Their independence means they may ignore cues once a scent grabs them. In LA's close-quarters neighborhoods, a bay or howl from a bored hound can carry, so enrichment matters. Kennel-raised hounds may be shy indoors at first, and each dog differs.
