Applehead Siamese is the popular name for the traditional, old-style Siamese, a sturdier, rounder-headed cat than the long, wedge-headed Siamese seen in today's show rings. Some registries recognize the type separately as the Thai, while many cats called appleheads are simply pointed cats of Siamese ancestry, so looks and background can vary quite a bit.
Expect a pale body with darker points and vivid blue eyes, plus a short coat that's easy to care for. Many are talkative, clever and people-focused, and many dislike long stretches alone. That tends to suit Charleston households with someone home often, though every cat is different, and some are mellower than the stereotype.
