Applehead Siamese is the popular name for the traditional, old-style Siamese, a sturdier, rounder-headed cat than the long, wedge-headed Siamese of today's show rings. Some registries recognize the type separately as the Thai, though many cats called appleheads are simply pointed cats of Siamese ancestry, often without papers.
Expect a pale body with darker points on the face, ears, legs and tail, vivid blue eyes, and a weight of roughly 8 to 14 pounds. Most are talkative, playful and clever, and many dislike long stretches alone. For Wichita adopters who work long days, a pair of cats or a household where someone is often home usually suits them best.
