Thank you for your understanding. MEET TISHA Tisha is a handsome 1-year-old Russian Blue mix with a gentle soul and a heart that’s finally learning what love feels like. His life began at a rural shelter in Texas, where he faced a difficult start. As a tiny kitten, Tisha battled a stubborn case of ringworm and URI, with a weakened immune system, spent the first five months of his life isolated by himself in a cage receiving treatment. The shelter staff did everything they could for him with the limited resources they had, but unfortunately his early experiences with people mostly involved medication and medical care. After all, no one likes their nurse. Thankfully, a rescue heard about Tisha and decided this sweet boy deserved a second chance. At first, Tisha was understandably shy and unsure of humans. However, over the past six months in foster care, he has blossomed into an affectionate and playful young cat. He has always loved the company of other cats and dogs, and with patience and kindness from his foster mom, he has slowly learned to trust people too. Now Tisha is ready to find his forever home. Because of his past, Tisha will need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. He may be timid at first, but once he forms a bond with you, it is incredibly special and rewarding. Beneath that shy exterior is a loving boy who enjoys pets, playtime, and companionship. Tisha would do best in a calm home with older, cat-savvy children who can respect his need to adjust at his own pace. A friendly cat or dog companion would likely help him continue to thrive. This sweet boy has overcome so much in his short life, and now all he needs is a loving family willing to give him the time, patience, and love he truly deserves.
