A SWEET & SENSITIVE BOY: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 13 lbs. Hi, my name is Jet! I had a home, but my family had to move to take care of an ill family member and could not take me with them. That makes me sad, but I am so happy that Mostly Mutts was able to help me find a new family to love. I came in with another dog who has already been adopted and now it’s my turn! I spent some time in a nice foster home and about a week in a temporary home, but my energy level was a bit higher than they were looking for in their furry friend! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I liked the dog I came in with, and my temporary family reported that I liked the dogs I met while I was with them. I recently met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and got along with them, but I wasn’t quite ready to play with them. If you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals! / Cats unknown. / My former family said I liked children while with them, but I don’t remember their ages. I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I was pretty scared when I first arrived at the shelter, but the volunteers knew to go slowly with me and give me time to warm up, and before long, my true personality came out - the sweetest boy with a side of sensitive! In my foster home, I was a gentle, sweet guy who enjoyed cuddles and being close to my people. In my temporary home, I did some barking and showed a little anxiousness as I adjusted to new surroundings, so please give me some time as I’ve had a lot of changes recently. I can also be quick around doors and gates, so I may try to dart through them or even try to jump a fence, so if you have a fenced yard, it’s best to stay outside with me until you know I’m settled and won’t do that. / Energy level: 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and look forward to learning a lot with my trainer! Let's continue my training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / I wasn’t crated in my original or temporary homes, so I’m learning that now and my crate manners have been pretty good at Mostly Mutts. / I've had a few accidents on the shelter schedule. I did well with my potty manners in my foster home and did a little marking in my temporary home. I may need a little refresher in my new home, since I’ve had a lot of changes recently. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I like being with people, taking walks with the volunteers and enjoying some cuddling too. I also like to be a little active with my people and I’m sure we’ll discover lots of things we will enjoy together once I’ve settled into my new home. / I’m a bit sensitive to loud noises and think I’d thrive best in a home that’s not super busy. Other than that, I can’t think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I am looking for a loving, furever home!
