Meet Heavy Duty. Heavy Duty is an 8 year old tomcat who was found as a feral stray, and judging by his rough ears, giant tomcat cheeks, and mellow demeanor, he's likely been surviving outside his entire life. His big chubby cheeks come from years of testosterone and likely injuries from other cats while living on his own. Because of that past, he is FIV+, meaning his immune system is a little weaker than the average cat's. FIV+ cats can still live long, happy lives and can safely coexist with other cats in many homes. What's really special about Heavy Duty is how unbelievably sweet he is despite everything he's been through. He loves affection and leans fully into it. If he really likes you, he'll gently lick your hands and hold onto you while you pet him like he's making up for years without kindness.
