Can you believe this lovely lady was not wearing a collar and didn’t have a microchip? It’s like she was waiting for her true family to find her! With her scrumptious white-and-pale brown coat and that irresistibly chubby face—with a charming brown patch over her right eye—Athena is sure to steal the spotlight wherever she goes. Her milk chocolate nose, short floppy ears, and long tail make her an extra sweet treat! 🍬 Athena tips the scales at a sturdy 73 lbs of pure love. When Athena first arrived, she quickly showcased her super sweet disposition by politely begging for attention from everyone who walked by. And boy, oh boy, does this girl love attention! She’s a certified snuggler who adores being close to her human friends. If you’ve got a lap for her, you might just witness the happiest pup in the world! 🥰 Despite being sweet as pie, Athena does have some special needs—she's hearing-impaired. But don’t let that concern you! This clever girl “listens with her heart,” showing that love knows no bounds. She absolutely loves being around people, and her affectionate personality is off the charts! In a little adventure over the 2024 Thanksgiving holiday, Athena spent time in a foster home and did marvelously! 🦃 While she’s great with kids, she showed a protective side when it came to her food, especially around the family cat. So, a home without cats would be the best fit for this diva. However, she enjoyed being around the dog in her foster family, even if her canine pal was a bit standoffish. Unfortunately, there's been a bit of a rocky road for our beloved Athena. After a brief moment of happiness with a foster family, she found herself back at HSOV twice due to compatibility issues with other dogs. 😢 But do not fret, because her future is still bright and she’s completely ready to find a loving forever home, where she can truly be spoiled as she deserves.
