After having a tough start, landing back at the shelter in February weighing less than half what he should have and sporting some deep open sores on his feet, it’s nothing short of a miracle how far Winston has come! Our amazing team has worked tirelessly with a veterinarian to assist him on his journey to recovery, and let me tell you, this boy is now bursting with potential and personality! 🥳 Despite the trials he’s faced, Winston has a heart as big as the sky! His loving nature shines through, even on his worst days. This cuddle bug just wants to curl up in your lap and be a part of your world! ❤️ But let’s be real—Winston is still a work in progress. He's got a bit of trauma from the past, so a little patience and kindness will go a long way as he adjusts to his forever home. Now that he’s feeling spry, Winston’s energy is off the charts! He’s like a puppy with a zest for life! 🎾 But here's the scoop: he needs a dedicated owner who can provide plenty of activity to keep this spirited pup thriving. However, Winston will need some training, as he’s not quite housebroken and doesn’t know any commands just yet. You might find that a gentle approach is key to his learning; he's not a fan of yelling and will flourish under a loving hand. Winston has a soft spot for his furry pals! 🐕 He absolutely adores other dogs, although his enthusiasm may not mesh well with those who appreciate their space. Watch out—he may not get along with strong-headed male dogs either! On the flip side, he’s come across children and showed them tons of love, but his high energy means he might accidentally sweep little ones off their feet. It’s best to keep him away from felines, though; he’s more of a chase-and-play kind of guy with cats! Though Winston looks much better now, his journey isn’t quite over. He still needs to gain those last few pounds to reach his ideal weight, and his skin needs a bit more tender loving care to fully heal. With your help, he can flourish like the radiating star he is!
