Meet our magnificent boy, Rocco! 🌟 This brave spirit was found running scared on the freeway, dodging cars like a champ. Can you believe it? This was the ninth freeway dog we rescued! On a scorching birthday, while temperatures soared above 100 degrees, our team set up camp nearby and braved the heat. We strategically parked at a Starbucks just a quarter mile away, watching our cameras with bated breath until Rocco finally ventured close enough to be rescued! At first, he was shy and scared—just like many of the others we’ve taken in. Rocco bears a huge scar along his back, a testament to his past struggles—likely from trying to wiggle free from a chain link fence. 😟 But that doesn't define him! After all the love we've given him, he’s blossomed with happiness and has put on much-needed weight. 🥳 This sweet pup is about a year old, part Queensland, and he adores other dogs! His playful nature shines bright as he romps around with his furry friends. Just a warning, though—Rocco gets a little excitable and has a habit of jumping up to shower you with love! It’s hard to resist those happy eyes! ❤️ Rocco is currently awaiting his DNA results, so stay tuned for those exciting details!
