A little shy at first, Slate has come a long way on her journey since arriving at our rescue. Picture her rolling over, purring, and enjoying those oh-so-delightful belly rubs—if you’re lucky enough to earn her trust! 🥰 Slate’s past story isn’t all sunshine and rainbows; she began her life in a hoarding situation and even played the role of a superhero mama to three kittens! Since then, she’s been a cherished resident in a loving foster home, making her a bit more accustomed to the soft life. Having kitty roommates has shown her the joys of cat camaraderie, so she may do best in a home with other feline friends. 🐱 With a little patience and soothing words, Slate is destined to blossom into the affectionate companion she was meant to be. It’s just a matter of time before she finds her groove, and provides endless snuggles and heartwarming moments. Remember, she may still get a bit nervous with loud noises or bustling activity, so a calm sanctuary will be her dream come true. 🌈 Slate was born in 2021, and as a Gemini, she’s curious and full of charm!✨ When you adopt her, you gain not just a pet, but a companion ready to fill your days with sweetness, as long as you provide her the loving, quiet space she deserves. All cats and kittens are thoroughly vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Each adoption fee includes a carrier, scratching pad, a starter pack of food and litter, and a delightful toy! 🎁 We believe in pairing kittens together for double the fun, and don’t stress; we’re here for you with advice anytime about your newly adopted cat. Should things not go as planned (we know, life happens), we will gladly welcome Slate back to our rescue at any time in the future. To meet Slate in person, you will need to apply through the Buddy App. Remember, potential adopters must be within 150 miles of Cincinnati. After that, you might be asked for a second visit to ensure she’s the right fit for you!
