About Tootsie

Tootsie is an adorable dilute calico kitten born around May 1. She is now spayed, started on her vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and microchipped… and ready to go home with a new family today! She’s a typical super-playful kitten, so should go to a home with another young, energetic cat who wants a playmate… or she could be adopted with her momma, who is also looking for a home! Tootsie’s very resourceful mom was a stray cat who somehow managed to get into the attic of a Baltimore rowhouse and stashed her kittens there. (Much to the surprise of the resident who suddenly heard baby kittens crying in his ceiling.) Fortunately this little family was rescued and has spent the last six weeks in a foster home, so the kittens have grown up around people. They are a bit shy at first, but they warm up quickly. Tootsie would really benefit from having an outgoing feline sibling to give her more confidence! Tootsie is being fostered in the Remington neighborhood. An application will be required, and her adoption fee will be $105, which is what it cost to get her spayed and vaccinated. She has had her first distemper vaccine, and her adopter should plan on a vet visit in early August for her to get her rabies vaccine and second distemper, and then again a month later for her final distemper.
